playing mom is not a game

This whole week I'm playing mom (and dad) to the 2 kids I nanny for while their parents are away on business. The kids are usually in daycare/preschool during the day, but both got sent home yesterday afternoon for potentially having rotavirus. And, they aren't allowed to come back until tomorrow. Lovely.
I've been in my pajamas for the last 24 hours, including when I went to CVS for some Pedialyte. I've served countless pieces of toast, endlessly checked toilets and diapers, comforted their mother over multiple phone calls and I am OH so ready for my two-week Christmas vacation.

I can't wait for nap time. Couch, I'll be with you soon..
